Abbey Clancy Goes Sci-Fi


The 27-year-old  has posed in a number of designs by Hasan Hejazi for a new shoot titled ‘Polaris’.

The series of images show off the model and presenter wearing the AW13 collection by the designer.
Looks range from metallic materials to nude-coloured ankle cuffs.
Clearly a fan of her own work, Abbey took to Twitter to share the shots and added her opinion saying ‘I just LOVE it! xx’

Jodie Kidd Returns to Catwalk

Model-actress Jodie Kidd is all set to walk on the stage once more. 

The 34-year-old actress, who once dazzled the ramp for designers like Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent in 90s', suffered a downfall in her fashion career and that drifted her towards television, reported Contactmusic. 

"I've decided to model again. I can't believe it has been so long, but I see all my girlfriends working and I realized I missed it. 

"I don't know if I can remember how to walk in heels - I'm just not used to wearing them... If I trip it's like falling off a horse: the number one rule is always to get back up and laugh," she said.

Elite modelling agency founder John Casablancas dies

he founder of Elite, the world’s most successful modelling agency, died from cancer on Saturday.
He was a titan of his trade, who transformed the modelling game into a billion-dollar business, and bestrode fashion for more than four decades, bringing global fame and fortune to the fast-living catwalk models he discovered.
He launched the careers of Claudia Schiffer, Heidi Klum, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell to name but a few. Yet Casablancas’s death at the age of 70 has so far been greeted by a chorus of silence from this gilded circle.


Upper Street by Nicole Smallwood unveils first ready-to-wear collection


Upper Street, the premium made-to-order shoe label, has announced the launch of its very first Upper Street by Nicole Smallwood ready-to-wear collection for women with larger feet. In collaboration with leading stylist Nicole Smallwood, the collection is an assortment of staples with a twist. Jasper Conran launches new website


The new website from Jasper Conran showcases the Jasper Conran collections and features exclusive imagery, a personal blog and an overview of Jasper’s career and business to date. The designer also offers an insight into his world, with a visual diary featuring images taken on his iPhone, documenting his travels, likes and inspirations. Inspired by the concept of a white gallery space, the new site offers a clean backdrop to showcase the Jasper Conran womenswear collections each season, including videos and images from behind-the-scenes at London Fashion Week. The site benefits from improved navigation, with clear filter options, and enables users to share images on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.

Former Jenny Packham Brand Director launches Millany


Tamsin Ridgwell, previously Jenny Packham Brand Director and Producer, has launched Millany, a new luxury bridal accessories website. Tamsin has founded the online boutique after almost a decade of directing and producing runway shows, campaign shoots, celebrity and royal placements. Millany offers a curated, fashion-forward portfolio of bridal accessory brands including Jennifer Behr, Emmy, Enchanted Atelier, Hermione Harbutt, Flo and Percy and Stephanie Browne.

Trish McEvoy unveils portable brush collection


Trish McEvoy has announced the launch of a portable brush collection featuring a selection of luxury brushes, each shaped to deliver makeup application - from contoured and defined eyes to an enhanced complexion and facial structure. The selection comes housed in a silver brush clutch with room for touch-up essentials. The set, which is priced £105, contains a Brush 70 Blender, Brush 65 Angled Contour, Brush 66 Cream Blender and Brush 6 Deep Eye. It will be available on counter in September.

Australian label Lorna Jane launches in the UK

La Faire to open at PopUp Britain



Following the brand's first pop-up shop in Victoria in May, boutique shoe label La Paire will be opening a second boutique in PopUp Britain’s flagship store this month. Carnaby launches pop-up with London College of Fashion graduates


A pop-up shop has launched in Carnaby featuring the two winners of the Shaftesbury Award for Emerging Designers: Stephanie Hensley and Zoran Dobric, graduates of the London College of Fashion. The project creates an opportunity to view and buy exclusive Master of Arts Degree collections by up and coming designers and runs until 21 July at Unit 1.16 Kingly Court, just off Carnaby Street. Stephanie Hensley is a women’s shoe designer who will showcase her collection, Made in China: Longevity Series, an assortment of high quality luxury footwear, inspired by her travels in China. The feminine and elaborate collection references historical Chinese processes, shapes, and imagery, as well as utilising unconventional materials rarely used in footwear. Stephanie’s celebrity clientele include Lady Gaga and Estelle Rubio. The collection is made to order and prices are available upon request. Zoran Dobric is a womenswear designer whose collection is based on research of Canadian West Coast Aboriginals, particularly 'Ceremonial Dancing Blankets'. The collection also features exclusive digital prints developed by Dobric, inspired by geometrically cryptic Canadian Northwest coast art. Prices range from £150 to £600. Rodial teams up with Mary Katrantzou


Skincare brand Rodial has teamed up with fashion designer Mary Katrantzou to develop a limited edition scented candle. Inspired by Mary’s Nature Vs Nurture collection, the candle features the Babelle print. The candle features citrus top notes of orange and lemon complemented by base notes of pineapple and orange blossom. The limited edition Mary Katrantzou Rodial Candle, priced £35, will be available from September.

Long Tall Sally unveils partnership with GB High Jump champion Isobel Pooley



Long Tall Sally, the high street retailer offering clothing for women that are 5’8“ and above, has announced its partnership with 6’3” British top-ranked high jumper Isobel Pooley, appointing her Brand Ambassador. At 20 years old, Isobel currently holds the UK number one spot in her field. She was also recently named as part of the GB team for the European Athletics Team Championship and was chosen to be part of the Lloyds TSB sporting hero’s scheme. Next year will bring the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and the European Championships, with her long term aspiration being selection for Rio 2016. 

FACE Stockholm opens at Fenwick Bond Street



Swedish make-up brand FACE Stockholm has launched in the UK today, exclusively in-store at Fenwick Bond Street in London. Founded over 25 years ago in Sweden by Gun Nowak, FACE Stockholm is still owned and managed by Gun and her daughter, Martina Arfwidson (pictured here). The brand offers a wide range of colours and uses only high quality, natural ingredients. The products are eco-conscious with minimal packaging and never tested on animals. 

BFC announces NEWGEN recipients for SS14




The British Fashion Council has today announced nine of London’s emerging fashion labels set to receive sponsorship to showcase SS14 collections at London Fashion Week (13-17 September) from NEWGEN sponsored by TOPSHOP. As part of the BFC’s three year strategy to support growth in the sector, it is developing and broadening its designer business support. NEWGEN designers are identified by their creativity, design aesthetic and point of difference. This season the NEWGEN committee, chaired by Sarah Mower, focused on selecting designers that are ready for the profile, platform and support that NEWGEN offers.
