TOWIE's Dan Osborne appointed face of BangLads


Online retailer BangLads has unveiled TOWIE's Dan Osborne as the face of its pre-Christmas collection to coincide with the airing of the Christmas episode of ‘The Only Way Is Essex’. Underwear retailer Banglads offers a collection of different brands including the latest styles from Diesel and Emporio Armani. All items that Dan wears in the images are the latest styles and are available now via the website.

Kristen Stewart named as face of CHANEL


Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Kristen Stewart as the face of the upcoming campaign of CHANEL's 2013/14 Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection. The collection was unveiled during the show held in Dallas, Texas in the US, yesterday (10 December). The campaign will be shot by Karl Lagerfeld and is expected to be released in May 2014. Kristen first met Karl Lagerfeld in January 2012 during a photo shoot in Paris where she was photographed in Chanel Haute Couture. Kristen can be seen in French director Olivier Assayas' forthcoming film ‘Sils Maria’ alongside Juliette Binoch and Chloe Moretz. This film will be released in 2014.

Amber Valletta appointed as face of H&M's Conscious collections


H&M has announced the introduction of two new collections, Conscious and Conscious Exclusive, which will be available from 10 April 2014. Both collections will feature supermodel Amber Valletta, who is known for her interest in sustainability. The Conscious collection contains key fashion pieces, each made with materials that are more sustainable, such as organic cotton, Tencel, hemp and recycled materials. The collection will be available in all ladieswear H&M stores, as well as online. For this year’s Conscious Exclusive collection, H&M is working in collaboration with the sustainable fashion and design think tank, Ever Manifesto, which shares H&M’s commitment to a more sustainable future for fashion. The intricately detailed pieces in the Conscious Exclusive collection showcase things that can be done with more sustainable materials, taking inspiration from a mix of flamenco and bohemia. Conscious Exclusive will be available in 150 selected H&M stores worldwide, as well as online. Amber (pictured) commented on the partnership:  “I’m very excited to work with the H&M Conscious campaign, because we share the same values about sustainability. This collection shows that you can be as mindful about people and the environment as fashion conscious. I simply love the designs and the fact that all the pieces are made with organic, recycled and cellulose fabrics shows that you don’t need to compromise fashion for sustainability anymore.”

Actor Nolan Funk unveiled as face of Versace


Canadian born actor Nolan Funk has been announced as the face of Versace’s menswear advertising campaign for SS14. Nolan is known for his performance as Hunter Clarington in the musical comedy-drama television series Glee. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in London, in each image Nolan wears iconic Versace pieces refreshed for the 21st century: the tailored suit; the graphic print; the Greek key motif brief; and the rock’n’roll leather jacket and pants. The creative team who worked on the campaign included stylist David Bradshaw, hair by Garren and make-up by Lucia Pieroni.

Burberry Beauty Box Opens Today


Burberry has today announced the opening of Burberry Beauty Box in London’s Covent Garden. This new retail concept brings Burberry fashion and beauty together in an innovative format that allows customers to explore the connections between make-up, fragrance and accessories through personalised physical and digital experiences. The Burberry Beauty Box features the full Burberry Beauty collection of make-up and fragrance, as well as limited edition beauty products. The space also houses Burberry accessories including sunglasses, scarves and an exclusive selection of bags, available only in the Beauty Box. A new look will be revealed each month, available to experience in store. Continuing Burberry’s integration of digital technology into its retail environments, the space features: a custom built digital screen in the shape of the iconic Burberry check, showcasing bespoke content on the exterior façade; a 16ft ‘digital chandelier’ showcasing monthly beauty content over multiple screens, bringing new looks and products to life; and the brand's first till-free retail environment. Payments are taken using a mobile point of sale system on iPads and iPhones, which also offers the option of digital receipts. The Digital Runway Nail Bar offers a virtual experience for trying on the latest Burberry runway nail shades. By placing a Burberry nail polish onto an RFID-enabled platform, customers can choose their skin-tone and virtually experience the selected nail shade. Burberry Beauty Box will also offer Beauty Styling, Fragrance Discovery, Runway Nail Service, bespoke consultations and one-to-one appointments.

Abbey Clancy Announced as face & body of Ultimo


UK lingerie brand Ultimo has today announced model and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Abbey Clancy as the new ‘face and body’ of the brand, taking over from Luisana Lopilato. Abbey (pictured above right, with Ultimo founder Michelle Mone, will star in Ultimo’s SS14 campaign, to launch early next year, showcasing an enhanced ‘Miracle Solutions’ range and new fashion lines, which cater for women from A through to DD cups. The campaign will also coincide with the launch of Ultimo’s new website, and will be supported by marketing activity. Ultimo is cureently available from ultimo.co.uk and Debenhams.

Following Alexa Chung's appointment as its Creative Director, beauty brandEyeko has unveiled the limited edition Alexa for Eyeko ‘chic flick' Eye Make-up Kit, set to launch at BeautyMART this week. UK Lingerie Awards 2013 reveals public vote



The UK Lingerie Awards, taking place next month, has announced 12 of the UK's favourite lingerie brands and stores shortlisted for three special awards to be voted for by shoppers: the UK's Favourite Lingerie Brand of the Year, the UK's Favourite Lingerie Retailer of the Year, and the UK's Favourite British Designer of the Year. The winners will be determined by the highest number of votes, but the identity of the winners will not be unveiled until the evening of the awards, to be held on 4 December at London's Freemasons' Hall (see DIARY dates).

Frank Lampard announced as Rotary brand ambassador



Swiss watch brand Rotary has announced Chelsea FC midfielder, Frank Lampard as brand ambassador for the first season of its sponsorship as Global Official Timekeeper of Chelsea FC. Frank has been selected as Rotary’s ambassador after becoming the club’s all-time top scorer, with 12 years at Chelsea and more than 100 England caps. 

“We are extremely proud that Frank Lampard has agreed to become our brand ambassador for the first season of sponsorship. Frank is without doubt a world class footballer and incredible team player not only for Chelsea FC but also on the world stage playing for England. Global British luxury lifestyle brand Belstaff has unveiled David Beckham as the face of the brand’s 2014 global advertising campaign. Photographed by renowned photographer Peter Lindbergh, the campaign was shot on location in Buckinghamshire, England. The creative concept was a band of brothers travelling across the English countryside lead by Beckham.

For the Christmas season, milliner Stephen Jones has created five looks forBarbie, introducing: Happy Holly Barbie, Toffee Ice Barbie, Snow Globe Barbie, Santa Baby Barbie, and Christmas Tree Barbie. The designer has not only created headwear for Barbie, but the entire look. Each doll is priced at £250 and will be available from 15 November within the Barbie department at Selfridges London's Toy Shop.

Topshop unveils 'The Collection' starring Kate Bosworth


Topshop has unveiled 'The Collection' starring Kate Bosworth, a new capsule wardrobe for winter, mixing of masculine and feminine, oversized and fitted. Launching globally today, The Collection offers a representation of Kate's own style. In her role as a design consultant to Topshop, the actress developed the collection alongside the design team, wanting a different tone from the more bohemian inspired Spring Festival range that she starred in. Styles includes oversized collarless coats in shearling, shirting in leather and silk-chiffon, biker pants, a cashmere mix grey marl T-shirt, metallic leather skirts and accessories. The colour palette is inspired by the artist Piet Mondrian, with black and whites mixed with foiled metallics, off-set with a flash of a red. Bags are oversized and relaxed, shoes are pointed and high, belts are wet-look, and oversize aviator style sunglasses are seen with a mirrored finish. 'The Collection' starring Kate Bosworth launches in stores and globally online today (24 October), with 46 pieces in the collection, and prices ranging from £35 to £500.

Anthropologie unveils collaborations with Mister Finch & By Hand London


Fashion and lifestyle label Anthropologie has announced two new collaborations, with independent sewing pattern label By Hand London and artist Mister Finch. In conjunction with By Hand London, the brand will be launching four sewing patterns (pictured above left) and an exclusive sewing kit for Christmas. Anthropologie will be carrying four designs: the Elisalex Dress, Charlotte Skirt, Anna Dress and Victoria Blazer, all of which are an up-to-date take on classic silhouettes and act as a canvas for the sewer’s look. The Elisalex Dress, Charlotte Skirt, Anna Dress and Victoria Blazer patterns are priced at £12. The Charlotte Skirt Sewing Kits are available exclusively online priced at £50. By Hand London will be holding an Anna Dress Sew-Along at Anthropologie Kings Road on 2 November and at the newly-opened Guildford store on 9 November. Yorkshire-based artist Mister Finch creates sewn and stuffed representations of creatures and plants (pictured above right) ranging from giant bumblebees to life-sized rabbits. Anthropologie will bring his work to a wider audience, with prices ranging from £120 for a fox head bust to £298 for a sleeping fox. Anthropologie's collaboration with artist Mister Finch takes place at the new Guildford store, while the collection is also available to view online.

Make-up artist Karla Powell launches Face Charts

International make-up artist Karla Powell has introduced the Face Chart make-up design sheets for creating and cataloging beauty looks. Printed on textured card stock and professionally bound into artist-style pads, the tear-off sheets are ideal for experimenting with pigments and products. Make-up artist Sara Raeburn signs to aartlondon


London-based make-up artist Sara Raeburn has joined the artist roster at aartlondon. Sara's work has featured in Vogue, Italian Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, while her celebrity make-up list includes Barbra Streisand, Helena Bonham Carter, Kate Moss, and grooming for John Malkovich and Alan Rickman. Sara has also worked on campaigns for Adidas, Valentino, Revlon and Diet Coke.

Kjaer Weis launches organic mascara in the UK


Kjaer Weis, the cosmetics brand created by Danish-born, New York-based make-up artist Kirsten Kjaer Weis, has introduced its new certified organic mascara in the UK, offering long wearing and durable performance. Being refillable, the new mascara is also sustainable and hygienic, boasting a unique compact design. The refillable insert is discarded after three-month usage, limiting packaging waste and ensuring fresh product, while helping to prevent bacteria build-up and potential eye infections. Winser London launches at Peter Jones



Winser London, the British online luxury womenswear brand launched by Kim Winser in February and fronted by Yasmin Le Bon, has opened today at Peter Jones as a pop-up shop and will be sold on the John Lewis website. Following on from a pop-up shop which launched at Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge at the start of September, the Peter Jones pop-up will sell an edit of the Winser London AW13 collection. The pop-up will be located in Peter Jones on the second floor for the season. There will be 30 pieces from the collection, including cashmere, silks and separates. 

MY iMenso jewellery appoints Carmen Electra as ambassador



Former Baywatch actress and model Carmen Electra has been appointed as an ambassador for jewellery brand MY iMenso. The brand offers a collection of bespoke jewellery pieces which can be personalised. The concept involves a sterling silver medallion on a chain which can be opened on both sides. Clients can then choose an ’insignia’ to insert into the medallion, giving each jewel a personal touch. The collection, including pendants, rings and a ‘dancing’ collection of interchanging medallions, retails at £87 to £195.

Beauty brand Anne de Jeunesse to launch


Grove Beauty has annouced the launch of skincare brand Anne de Jeunesse on GorgeousShop.co.uk. Fashion label This Is A Love Song (TIALS) is coming to the UK for SS14. Born on the island of Bali, TIALS is aimed at music lovers, festival goers and performer, and has proved popular in the US via Urban Outfitters. The label, which currently has a UK celebrity fan-base including Ellie Goulding, Lianne La Havas, Nina Nesbitt and Mischa B, will be stocked in a select number of independents, with prices ranging from £60 for tees to £120 for outerwear, with genuine leather pieces priced from £160.

Andrea Roche announces pregnancy

The model agency boss broke the good news to friends on Facebook this morning.
She made the simple announcement this morning, saying: “Rob & I are So happy to be expecting a baby, feeling blessed”.
The Ireland AM fashion correspondent set tongues wagging that she could be expecting in recent weeks after it appeared she had a small baby bump.
She has presented fashion slots on the popular breakfast show weekly since retiring from full time modelling five years ago.

Milan Fashion Week makes way for Paris Fashion Week



Milan Fashion Week reaches its conclusion today. The weekend saw shows from Jil Sander, Moschino and Emilio Pucci, Missoni, John Richmond and Salvatore Ferragamo among others, while today Missoni, Frankie Morello, Giorgio Armani and Uma Wang have all shown SS14 collections.

Paris Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow with Lucien Pellat Finet at 10am, followed by Moon Young Hee at 11am. Among the other labels exhibiting tomorrow are Ground Zero, Dévastée and Cédric Charlier

New look Tu at Sainsbury's launches in stores this week


One year away from the brand’s 10th year anniversary, Tu at Sainsbury’shas unveiled a completely new look and feel with contemporary branding and reimagined collections. Launching this week, the new collections have been streamlined to include more catwalk and global trend inspiration. Sainsbury’s has also invested in a 30-strong design team, bringing a renewed focus to key areas including womenswear, accessories, lingerie and denim. The AW13 womenswear collection includes a mix of 20’s and 30’s Great Gatsby-inspired vintage pieces and oversized coats and knits. The menswear range focuses on heritage pieces including fairisle knits and wax cotton jackets in addition to Nordic naval inspired items such as pea coats, chunky knits and dark denim. Childrenswear includes a mix of colourful knitwear, on trend outwear and an extensive mix of dress-up items. The range also introduces new fabrications including marl yarns and fabrics, as well as launching a new girlswear collection that has been ‘Made in Britain’ featuring fashion led, prints and designs. Prices will be affordable, with men’s lambswool jumpers starting at £20, leather handbags for £35 and women’s jeans starting at £12.50. London Fashion Week this weekend


This weekend, a whole host of designers will showcase SS14 collections atLondon Fashion Week, starting on Saturday with Zoë Jordan at 9am and finishing with Richard Nicoll at 8pm. Parties tomorrow evening include aLongchamp Store Opening Party and Browns Focus Relaunch Party, celebrating the launch of its new store, co-hosted by designer Brian Lichtenberg. In addition, a party celebrating Scandanavian fashion in London is taking place. Sunday kicks off with Preen by Thornton Bregazzi and will see presentations from Smythson and Manolo Blahniktake place throughout the day.

People Tree & Zandra Rhodes reveal collaboration


British textiles and fashion designer Zandra Rhodes is partnering with Fair Trade fashion brand People Tree for a capsule collection made using 100% organic cotton, which will be made at artisanal and tailoring groups in India. The collection sees Zandra’s unique use of bold prints and feminine patterns produced alongside People Tree’s mission to provide Fair Trade to those in some of the most marginalised communities. The six-piece collection will be available via People Tree's website from 26 August, with prices ranging from £90 to £150. 

Dolce & Gabbana unveils new Intense fragrance

Intense is the latest women's fragrance from the Italian fashion houseDolce & Gabbana. The new eau de parfum contains top notes of neroli and green mandarin, leading to mid-notes of orange blossom and tuberose, while the dry down includes sandalwood and guimauve. The new Dolce & Gabbana eau de parfum is available in 25ml, 50ml and 100ml priced at £45, £64 and £79 respectively. A bodycare range accompanies the fragrance, consisting of a Body Lotion, £37 for 250ml, Shower Gel, £33 for 250ml, and Body Cream, £55 for 180ml. Launching exclusively in Harrods, Intense will be available nationwide on 21 August.

Revlon reveals Evening Opulence collection


Cosmetics brand Revlon has announced the launch of a new limited edition collection, titled Evening Opulence. In this collection, Revlon's Global Artistic Director Gucci Westman has created a palette of purples and emeralds for the eyes, and plum and fuchsia for the lips. Products include: the ColorBurst Lipgloss, £7.99, in three limited shades;PhotoReady Kajal Intense Eye Liner + Brightener, £5.99, in two shades; a 16 Hour ColorStay Eye Quad, £7.99; Nail Enamels, £7.99, in gold and purple; and the new ColorBurst Butter Balms for lips, £7.99, available in two shades. The new collection will be available from Boots and Superdrug online from September. 

Elegant Touch partners with House of Holland for nail range



Elegant Touch has teamed up with fashion designer Henry Holland to create a range of nail designs. Created and inspired by his London Fashion Week collections, the nails reflect Henry’s love of colour, playfulness and design, with styles including Polka Dot, Tweed, Heartbreaker and Zig Zag Stardust (pictured here). Featuring nine different designs, the House of Holland Nails by Elegant Touch will be available in September and will be priced at £7.99 to £8.99. 

Miraclesuit launches Luxurious Lace collection



Shapewear brand Miraclesuit has unveiled its Luxurious Lace collection, which offers two traditional colours, and is designed to allow the lace panels to be highlighted. The colours available are black with black lace and nude with nude lace, while there are four silhouettes on offer: the Torsette, a hi-waist long leg, hi-waist brief and the waist cincher. sass & bide unveils Suki Waterhouse as face of AW13 campaign



British model and actress Suki Waterhouse has been announced this week as the face of the sass & bide AW13 collection. The digital campaign, shot in NYC by Andrew de Francesco, features a mixture of denim, ready-to-wear and gallery pieces. “Suki embodies the spirit of the brand. She has a curious mind and looks at the world in an original way - we felt an instant connection to her” said Heidi Middleton, Creative Director of the brand.  The campaign is live now on the website, including a mix of campaign and behind-the-scenes images as well as an interactive online experience including personalised content by Suki herself.

Jodie Kidd Returns to Catwalk

Model-actress Jodie Kidd is all set to walk on the stage once more. 

The 34-year-old actress, who once dazzled the ramp for designers like Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent in 90s', suffered a downfall in her fashion career and that drifted her towards television, reported Contactmusic. 

"I've decided to model again. I can't believe it has been so long, but I see all my girlfriends working and I realized I missed it. 

"I don't know if I can remember how to walk in heels - I'm just not used to wearing them... If I trip it's like falling off a horse: the number one rule is always to get back up and laugh," she said.

Elite modelling agency founder John Casablancas dies

he founder of Elite, the world’s most successful modelling agency, died from cancer on Saturday.
He was a titan of his trade, who transformed the modelling game into a billion-dollar business, and bestrode fashion for more than four decades, bringing global fame and fortune to the fast-living catwalk models he discovered.
He launched the careers of Claudia Schiffer, Heidi Klum, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell to name but a few. Yet Casablancas’s death at the age of 70 has so far been greeted by a chorus of silence from this gilded circle.

Carnaby launches pop-up with London College of Fashion graduates


A pop-up shop has launched in Carnaby featuring the two winners of the Shaftesbury Award for Emerging Designers: Stephanie Hensley and Zoran Dobric, graduates of the London College of Fashion. The project creates an opportunity to view and buy exclusive Master of Arts Degree collections by up and coming designers and runs until 21 July at Unit 1.16 Kingly Court, just off Carnaby Street. Stephanie Hensley is a women’s shoe designer who will showcase her collection, Made in China: Longevity Series, an assortment of high quality luxury footwear, inspired by her travels in China. The feminine and elaborate collection references historical Chinese processes, shapes, and imagery, as well as utilising unconventional materials rarely used in footwear. Rodial teams up with Mary Katrantzou


Skincare brand Rodial has teamed up with fashion designer Mary Katrantzou to develop a limited edition scented candle. Inspired by Mary’s Nature Vs Nurture collection, the candle features the Babelle print. The candle features citrus top notes of orange and lemon complemented by base notes of pineapple and orange blossom.
